The Role

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our Mold Shop team. This position is responsible for repairing, modifying, maintaining, and improving prototypes, special tools, fixtures, and accessories requiring precise dimensions as per specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair molds, components, and related parts as needed.
  • Prepare fixtures, gages, and other tools using provided functions, drawings, or descriptions.
  • Analyze mold issues and perform necessary repairs promptly.
  • Operate Mold Shop machinery and tooling equipment safely.
  • Use computer systems to verify pending work and record completed tasks.
  • Assist the Technical Services Engineer in coordinating shop tasks when assigned.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Tool and Die Making or Mechanics, or equivalent experience in related roles. Associate degree in T&D preferred.
  • Completion of COOP programs, internships, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in tooling, manufacturing, or Mold Shop environments.

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent lifting and moving of heavy objects such as mold carts and toolboxes, standing for long periods, bending, and occasional walking. Proper use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Work is performed in a Mold Shop environment with exposure to grease, oils, hot parts, heavy equipment, and potential gases.

The position will be on-site full-time. Must be available to work in the plant regularly to properly oversee projects and issues.
