The Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer with expertise in managing validation projects in the injection molding industry and/or plastic medical device manufacturing. This position is responsible for leading initiatives to improve and optimize operations while ensuring customer requirements and expectations are consistently met. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage validation projects for new molds, products, and processes, ensuring successful implementation and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Develop project plans, coordinate activities, and maintain schedules to meet critical milestones.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing concerns and providing solutions that align with operational goals.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
- Perform characterization studies and molding analysis to identify design and process improvements.
- Prepare detailed project status reports and present findings to internal teams and customers.
- Provide guidance and training to manufacturing teams on standard operating procedures and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience managing validation projects in the injection molding industry and/or plastic medical device manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes, including mold qualifications and process validations.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical or project management capacity.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools and Root Cause Analysis preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements
This role involves working in both office and controlled manufacturing environments. It requires frequent movement throughout the facilities and occasional lifting, pulling, or moving of objects within established safety limits.
The position will be on-site full-time. Must be available to work in the plant regularly to properly oversee projects and issues.
